Mahjong In General

MahjongLuck offers some of the most popular variations of mahjong. They are listed in the left column. Just browse the list for the detail of each. In MahjongLuck, the seating, tile mixing and picking of tiles are carried out automatically so the players can spend their time playing the game.

After all players are seated each player will receive the initial tiles of their hands. The tiles have been randomly mixed before they are dealt to the players. The dealer will receive one tile more than the rest and is the first one to act by winning the hand or by throwing the first tile into the floor.

Each player will act on thier turn. The avalaible action options will be high-lighted for the players to act:

Select a Tile

Just click the tile that you want to select. The selected tile will be high-lighted.

Unselect a Tile

Just click the selected tile to unselect.

Move a Tile

Select a tile and click the location in the hand where you want the tile to move to.

Sort Tiles

Click the [SORT} button.

Pick

Just click the [PICK] button to pick a tile. The pick is automatic if it is the only avalaible option.

Throw

Click the desired tile to select and then click the [THROW] button. Click the selected tile to unselect

Pass

Click the [PASS] button to pass the available option(s).

Chow

Click the [CHOW] button to chow. When there are more than one option of chows, click the lower rank of the two tiles in the hand that you want to make chow with the thrown tile and then click the [CHOW} button. For example, if the thrown tile is bamboo 6 and you have in your hand bamboo 4, 5 and 7 you could chow 456 or 567. If you want to chow 456, select 4 and then click [CHOW] because 4 is the lower rank between 4 and 5. If you want to chow 567, select 5 and then click [CHOW] because 5 is the lower rank between 5 and 7.

Pung

Click the [PUNG] button to pung. When there are more than one option of pungs, click one of the two tile that you want to pung and then click the [PUNG] button

Kong

Click the [KONG] button to kong. When there are more than one option of kongs, click one of the tiles that you want to kong and then click the [KONG] button

Win

Click the [WIN] button to declare a win.

Replace Flower

Click the [REPLACE] button to replace a flower tile.
